Guardis Privacy Policy

Last updated:April 3, 2025

Introduction

We at Guardis Ltd. ("Guardis", "we", "us", or "our") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, and use data when you interact with guardis.io and our web application (collectively, the "Services").

Guardis is a research-focused platform that does not require traditional account registration, does not collect personal contact information, and processes crypto-only transactions. This Privacy Policy outlines our approach to data and your rights, even where identifiable data is minimal or not collected at all.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent changes. We encourage users to review this document regularly.

Acceptance of This Privacy Policy

By using or interacting with the Guardis platform—including by connecting a blockchain wallet or performing a scan—you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use our Services.

What We Collect (and What We Don't)

Guardis is intentionally designed to minimise data collection. Here's what we do—and do not—collect:

We do collect:

Blockchain wallet address: Required for using scan functionality and associating access to token-based payments.

On-chain transaction data: We read publicly available blockchain activity related to the wallet you connect, in order to enable scans and insights.

Usage data: We may collect anonymised information on interactions with the platform (e.g., feature usage, error logs, clickstream, session analytics) to improve performance and user experience.

Cookies and technical data: Browser type, IP address (for security and traffic analysis), time spent on site, and page interactions may be logged using standard web analytics.

We do not collect:

Names, emails, or phone numbers

Marketing preferences

Physical addresses or personal identifiers

Traditional user account information (e.g. no passwords, no usernames)

Payment card or fiat payment information (we do not support GBP, EUR, or any fiat)

Use of Blockchain Wallets

Your Guardis activity is tied to your connected blockchain wallet, not a personal account. We use the wallet connection solely to:

Verify ownership for scan/token access

Process transactions using our crypto-based payment system

Read associated on-chain data relevant to the wallet

We do not use your wallet address to link your identity or cross-reference it with personal data. We do not label or publish identities of wallet owners unless such associations are already public on-chain (e.g., ENS domains, DAO ownership, or public transactions).

How We Use Data

We use limited data to:

Enable scan functionality tied to your wallet

Track platform usage and performance

Detect bugs, misuse, or abuse

Improve our Services based on anonymised analytics

Maintain the integrity and security of our platform

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or advertising.

Disclosure of Data

We may share anonymised or aggregated usage data with infrastructure or analytics providers to maintain and improve the platform.

In limited cases, we may disclose blockchain wallet activity or technical data to comply with legal obligations or protect the integrity of Guardis.

We do not sell, rent, or monetise personal data, and we do not work with third-party advertising or lead generation platforms.

Third-Party Tools and Links

Guardis may integrate with or link to third-party blockchain explorers, payment processors, or analytics platforms. These are governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their terms separately.

We are not responsible for how third-party services process your data once you leave guardis.io.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your wallet interactions and platform activity. However, we remind users that:

Interacting with blockchain inherently involves public, immutable data

No system is completely immune from malicious attacks or vulnerabilities

You are responsible for the security of your own wallet, private keys, and browser environment

We do not store wallet credentials or private keys, and we will never ask for them.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to support functionality and analytics. Cookies help:

Maintain session state

Analyse traffic patterns

Identify bugs or misuse

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect functionality.

For more, see our [Cookies Policy].

Users in the EEA or UK

Guardis does not target users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom. We do not:

Offer services in EUR, GBP, or any fiat currency

Localise our content for EEA or UK users

Track or profile user behaviour in Europe

Intend to monitor individuals in Europe as defined under the GDPR or UK GDPR

If you are based in Europe, we ask that you refrain from using our Services.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect contact or identifiable personal information, we cannot associate most platform activity with an individual. However, if you believe data linked to your wallet is being used inappropriately and wish to raise a concern, you may contact us.

Please note that we cannot process requests that require verifying identity unless you provide legal evidence of control over the wallet or data in question.
